Protein Energy Balls

Healthy snacks that stop us from reaching for the chocolate are not as difficult as you think! Not only do these Protein Energy Balls taste great but they're also rich in nutrients and can be stored in the fridge in an airtight container for 2 weeks!

Just take one hour out of your weekend and you've got yourself something healthy to snack on all week. Not bad!

Remember you can of course add in extra ingredients for an even better taste. A couple of chocolate chips in the mix won't hurt. We've gone for Dark Chocolate since you still get your chocolate fix but with bonus anti-oxidants and less sugar! Raisins are a good swap too!

Ingredients

  •  150g Rolled oats
  •  2 Scoops Whey Concentrate Vanilla (or another flavour, choice is yours!)
  • 120g Natural peanut butter
  •  80ml Honey
  •  40g Dark Chocolate chips (or Raisins)
  •  2-3 Tbsp Tablespoons water

Method

  1. Place the protein powder, oats, peanut butter, and honey in a large bowl.

  2. Add 2 tablespoons of water and stir until a stiff dough forms. If the mixture is too dry, add the additional water, 1 teaspoon at a time, until desired consistency is reached.

  3. Stir in the Dark Chocolate Chips or Raisins

  4. Take tablespoons sized pieces of dough and roll into balls. Place on a sheet pan lined with parchment.

  5. Roll the remaining dough into balls.

  6. Chill for at least 30 minutes, then serve. Store in the refrigerator
