I predominantly weight train with a classic split. I do this to target each specific muscle group and break as many muscle fibres as possible when training. I normally use boxing as a warm up to increase the blood flow around the body and to increase the elasticity of my muscles.
With my diet, I’ve always said that I eat clever! I’ve never been a huge fan of meal prep as it never fit in with my day to day life. So I adapted my diet with my knowledge of nutrition to eat clever, knowing the macros of what I was eating and adding it up in my head as the day went on was my way keeping track of what I was eating. I make sure I eat or drink 25g of protein every 2 hours to ensure maximum protein synthesis and therefore muscle hypertrophy.
During quarantine I’ve used this time to take a step back and look at the fundamentals of training, I’ve gone straight back to basics, because of lack of equipment I’ve tried to ensure I integrated all compound movements I could possibly think of, such as squats, deadlifts, bench press, bent over row, shoulder press, tricep dips, all these exercises have been a life saver during quarantine as they are very easily performed without the need of equipment and are probably the most important fundamental exercises of muscle hypertrophy
